# Ramenhead > A ramen-focused izakaya on Kloof Street, Cape Town. Ramenhead is a ramen-focused izakaya at 75 Kloof Street in Gardens, Cape Town. Broths are simmered for up to 18 hours and every noodle is cut in-house on the only Yamato machine in Africa. No cash payments. ## The kitchen The kitchen is led by Executive Chef Julia du Toit, with guidance from FYN Group's Peter Tempelhoff and Ashley Moss, taking its cue from the ramen shops of Japan. Authentic techniques and carefully-selected ingredients extend beyond the bowls. ## What we serve Ramenhead is a ramen-focused izakaya. Prices are in South African rand (ZAR). Ramen: - **Tonkotsu** (R225) - rich pork bone broth, Hakata noodles, pork belly chashu, pickled ginger, ajitamago, mayu, Rayu oil, kikurage. - **Tori Paitan** (R245) - rich and creamy chicken broth, Tokyo style noodles, shoyu tare, chicken wonton, ajitamago, chicken chashu, spring onion, Rayu oil. - **Vegetable Sapporo** (R240, vegetarian) - sesame miso, Sapporo style noodles, smoked shiitake, tofu, bok choy. - **Hiyashi Chuka** (R225, served cold) - Tokyo style noodles, chicken chashu, spring onion, ajitamago, tomato, cucumber. Omakase (R850 per person), a taste of the menu: sakana (sashimi and tataki, oshizushi, octopus in vinegar, futomaki), agemono (vegetable and prawn tempura, chicken karaage), a small ramen of your choice, and dezāto (miso ice cream with white chocolate furikake, Konbini Sando). Add MS9 Wagyu sirloin hoba miso yaki for R630. Sake tasting is 3 x 50ml glasses for R275 or 6 x 50ml glasses for R525.
